Chair evolution sculpture project! Meant to be prototypes of minimalist furniture as if the Bauhaus and/or modernism had never happened, aka how I would solve a “modern” chair. Leftmost is the final design.
Didn’t know the St. Louis Art Museum had a #Rietveld chair. Got unnaturally excited when I saw it. #slam #art #destijl
"To Be Alone With You" - Sufjan Stevens
Run number 3 of my Tiger Woods print. #printmaking #timelapse #screenprinting
Okay, so I don’t know what the creator intended here, but I really love this thing.
It’s just so visceral and like an unmasking of fame and pop music and the polished charade of that culture, which is kind of deeply satisfying to me. All the false sugary sweetness and autotune and production tricks are inverted/subverted both visually and musically into this horrible, disgusting monstrosity that somehow feels way more honest and appealing…
It might be the Truest response to pop music that I’ve seen in a hell of a long time. I’m actually working on a project attempting to do some of the same things right now, and I feel like this video (and the others given the same treatment) articulate a huge amount of what I want to say by only changing a couple things…
I’m excited by what I’m doing, and you’ll see some of it pretty soon, but it was weird to see a video that feels like it’s getting at the exact same stuff!
"Futile Devices" - Sufjan Stevens cover
I love Sufjan quite a lot. Even more after discovering his tumblr.
What I did for the past hour and a half.
A #rainbow! Also messing with the #panorama option on the iPhone camera, haha. #trippy #inception #apocalyptic
Last night I had a really long and realistic dream that I was just hanging out with Grace Helbig, Mamrie Hart, and Hannah Hart. I actually thought this had happened until like ten minutes after I woke up. Then I was kinda sad.

The Spectrum of Film Density
5 collographs illustrations of film stills, 18” x 24,” Fall 2012
My idea here was to chart density/obscurity in a spectrum using five sci fi films. 2001: A Space Odyssey is first, the most cerebral, dry, and difficult to understand. Alien follows, a formally perfect work that does what it does extremely intelligently and with no frills. The Matrix stands in the center, a blend of popcorn spectacle and thought provoking concept. Jurassic Park, a fun but not pandering film, comes fourth, followed by Transformers, a visceral and explosion-laden special effects ride.
Just submitted this to the “WeLoveFine” Bee and PuppyCat t-shirt contest.
It compiles my favorite quotes from the cult cartoon. Bkowww!
For my other tees and stuff go here:
There is less than 24 hours left in the Bee and PuppyCat Kickstarter!
8 episodes have been funded but more $$$ = more episodes!
Thanks tomtrager for sharing your fan art with us!
I just… I just love this cartoon.
